The first time I found myself on a yoga mat was 17 years ago when I was 15. At the time, I was dancing, and yoga was part of our curriculum. Focusing on the breath and performing sequences without an end goal? I couldn't understand or enjoy it—until years later.
In a moment when I felt disconnected from myself, I discovered Ashtanga yoga, and that’s when it truly began for me. I felt a deep longing to be in India, close to the source, to learn more about yoga. Six months later, after graduating with my second degree in concept development and trend watching, I went to India.
During the first week of my Yoga Teacher Training, I entered a little bookshop. The owner gifted me a book about Ayurveda, saying it would change my life.
And indeed, it did. The ancient wisdom of Ayurveda brought me closer to my authentic self. It felt like coming home—truly healing.
Since then, my dream has been to explore, experience, and remember the ancient wisdom of Yoga and Ayurveda, and to share it with others one day.
Over the past 7.5 years, I have completed various yoga trainings worldwide in Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Yin/Yang, Yoga Nidra & Pranayama.
During these years, I also studied Ayurveda: initially with Chanderdath Makhan (focusing on Ayurvedic massage therapy and becoming an Ayurveda practitioner), later with Katie Silcox, Indu Arora, Mary Thompson, Eoin Finn & other wonderful teachers who shared their love and wisdom of Ayurveda and Yoga.
I bow deeply to them <3
I have created my own yoga teaching style: juicy, playful, and spicy. It's about experiencing a calm mind and freedom in the body in a playful way.
I share this in my yoga classes and workshops at Yoga Circle and De Nieuwe Yogaschool in Amsterdam, at my Yoga & Ayurveda retreats since 2019 and online at Yoga by Happinez and on Dutch television at NPO - KRO NCRV: Zentijd.
For the past 3 years, I have been offering Ayurvedic consultations (both online and offline)
Let’s get in contact if you would like to work together!
With lots of love,
